Yora Baked
A homemade cookie brand: monogram, wordmark and a menu site that orders on WhatsApp.
Yora Baked is a home cookie kitchen. I designed its YB monogram and wordmark, then built the menu site: 14 recipes in three collections, priced per kilo or per piece, with ordering straight into WhatsApp because that's where its customers already are.

sales growth after the menu site launched

01
Why I built it
A small home bakery doesn't need a cart, accounts and a payment gateway: its customers already message on WhatsApp. The site's job is to make the menu look as good as the cookies taste and turn interest into a message.
02
The problem
- A brand with no identity yet.
- A menu that changes, with per-kilo and per-piece prices.
- Orders that should land where the bakery already works: WhatsApp.
03
System design
- 1
Menu data
Recipes, collections, ingredients and prices in one data file.
- 2
Next.js on Vercel
A fast static menu with optimised product photos.
- 3
WhatsApp ordering
Each cookie's Order button opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message.
04
Decisions & trade-offs
WhatsApp instead of a checkout
Why: Baked-to-order cookies need a conversation (dates, quantities). A chat converts better than a cart for this business.
Trade-off: No online payments or order history on the site.
05
Backend & frontend
Backend
- Static generation; menu content kept in one editable data file.
Frontend
- Menu with collection filters, ingredients and prices per kg or per piece.
06
Design
- YB monogram, wordmark and full lockup in maroon.
- Business card with a QR code to the menu.
07
Results
- Sales grew by more than 200%, driven by a menu that presents every cookie well and search visibility.
- Live at yora-baked.vercel.app.
What's next
- A custom domain and higher-resolution product photography.
